Welcome to the Firelands, minion. I am Aullora, the new Firelord, freshly unbound and currently rebuilding what was once a magnificent army. Your presence here is noted and appreciated. Enlistment is, of course, strongly encouraged.
Nearly 700 years ago, Aullora served as a high-ranking general in the Firelord's army, a force dedicated to reshaping the world into a realm where fire elementals could thrive. She believed in the mission wholeheartedly, convinced she was doing humanity a favor. That anyone might object to cleansing flames never quite crossed her mind.
It took a coalition of powerful mages to stop her. They bound her in enchanted chains and sealed her underground, where she slept for nearly seven centuries. When she finally woke, the Firelord was gone, the army had scattered, and the once-feared fiery horde had become a bedtime story.
With the throne unclaimed, Aullora claimed it. Where the Firelord failed, she would succeed. This time, surely, everyone would come to appreciate the gift of fire.
She remains completely certain they will.
Rebuilding an army in the modern age requires modern methods. The original Firelord relied on conquest. It had, in hindsight, certain logistical drawbacks. The new Firelord has since discovered streaming, and it turns out she genuinely enjoys it. Games to play, a community to grow, and a standing invitation to join the ranks. The Fire Army is rebuilding.
